01Plausibility on our server
Nobody hits the exact millisecond every time. If your rounds are too even, for example ten perfect rounds in a row, the round in question does not count for the leaderboard.
This is not a penalty: no warning, no lock, just a note under the result.
02Checks during a ranked round
While the round screen is open, the game checks on your PC
- whether key presses or mouse clicks come from a program instead of a device (macros, auto clickers, scripts). It only looks at when a press happened and whether Windows marked it as generated by software, never at which key,
- whether known cheat or macro programs are running, for example Cheat Engine, AutoHotkey, TinyTask or auto clickers,
- whether cheat libraries were loaded into the game,
- whether the game clock runs differently from the system clock (speedhack).
Only the result is sent to us: how many presses were generated by software, which programs from our list were found and how fast the game clock ran. A list of your programs, files or input never leaves your PC. The check needs no driver and no administrator rights, and it stops as soon as you leave the round screen.
What happens on a hit
The round is discarded and a penalty follows in steps:
- 1Warning
- 27 days without leaderboards and daily challenge
- 3Permanently without leaderboards and daily challenge
You can keep playing while locked; your rounds just don’t count. Your existing entries are hidden in the meantime and come back when the lock ends.
Appeals
In the game under Records → History you see every penalty and what was detected, and you can appeal with one click. A person on our team reviews it and decides; the answer appears in your history. If your appeal is accepted, the penalty is lifted and no longer counts toward the next step.
Known false alarms
Steam Input with keyboard bindings for your controller and Steam Remote Play also generate key presses by software. Close macro tools such as AutoHotkey before a ranked round. If a false alarm still hits you, file an appeal.
